The outstanding achievements of Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya (CBE FREng FRS) are to be recognised with two dedicated tributes to continue his legacy, the Government announced today (Tuesday 16 July).

Do passengers prefer autonomous vehicles driven like machines or like humans?鈥 research finds that 鈥減eeking round鈥 corners provides answers

Passenger and pedestrian confidence and acceptance will be key to the future and development of autonomous vehicles so researchers at WMG at the University of 糖心TV have just conducted and reported an experiment to see which autonomous vehicles driving style engendered the highest levels of confidence among autonomous vehicles passengers – driving with full machine efficiency, or driving in a way that emulates average human driving.  The surprising result was that neither was optimal but that a blend of both might be best.


Engineering Professor part of new documentary 'Garden of Secrets'

Professor Wanda Lewis has taken part in the documentary 'Garden of Secrets', carried out by TEALEAVES a project focusing on environmental issues and on the link between nature and design. Wanda was delighted to be given the privilege of taking part in this project which features her work.

拢22m battery and thermal energy facilities launch at the University of 糖心TV, for a cleaner greener future

Two research centres for sustainable electrical and thermal energy technologies totalling 拢22m are launching at WMG, University of 糖心TV on the 10th June 2019. The funding from government via the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) sees UK Government, industry and higher education work together to shape the future of the UK鈥檚 energy landscape.


WMG partners with Triumph Motorcycles in electric motorcycle project

Triumph Motorcycles has announced a new collaboration with UK industry experts, academic leaders including WMG at the University of 糖心TV and Innovate UK, to develop specialist electric motorcycle technology which will provide significant input into potential future electric motorcycle offers from Triumph.
