The conference, meeting and events team at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV were awarded the title of ‘ÌÇÐÄTV Events Venue of the Year’ and will now go through to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
ÌÇÐÄTV announces new £10 million ÌÇÐÄTV Scholars programme for up to 500 Midlands young people each year
The University of ÌÇÐÄTV will announce today (Tuesday 14th May 2019) a transformational new £10 million social mobility programme - ÌÇÐÄTV Scholars - that aims to change the lives of hundreds of Midlands young people who have the potential to study at ÌÇÐÄTV, one of the world’s top 100 ranked universities, but who may face social or economic barriers to entering ÌÇÐÄTV. The new programme includes admissions offers up to 4 grades below ÌÇÐÄTV’s standard A level offer.

The University of ÌÇÐÄTV has just announced that it will award honorary degrees to six people at its winter degree ceremonies which will run from Wednesday 16 January - Friday 18 January in the Butterworth Hall of ÌÇÐÄTV Arts Centre.
£20 million for West Midlands to enable WMG at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV to create a UK Mobility Data Institute
The Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced that the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) will receive up to £20 million, subject to approval of a satisfactory business case, to enable WMG, at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV to create the UK Mobility Data Institute, a focussed research centre to collect, process and analyse transport data generated by the advent of new mobility technologies such as autonomous vehicles and smart charging of electrified vehicles.
WMG part of a £37m project to develop lightweight vehicles
A new research project, Tucana, will focus on lighweighting technology, delivering stiffer and lighter vehicle structures with the help of experts from WMG, at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV.
WMG will receive £4m, of the £18.7m government funding through the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), to drive the development of innovative lightweight vehicle and powertrain structures, building on the UK’s leading-edge capability in this area.
The Princess Royal officially opens University of ÌÇÐÄTVs new teaching building
The University of ÌÇÐÄTV’s new teaching building, the Oculus, has been officially opened by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
