Christmas Dinners are one of the UK’s most cherished traditions, and Christmas menus have evolved greatly over the years. Today, turkey is the typical meat of choice, going back 500 years it was beef, venison, and wild boar in Henry VIII’s festive feasts. Looking to the future, researchers at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV think that lab-grown meat, or cultivated meat, might end up being the centrepiece on our Christmas tables.


A fit-for-purpose social security system is affordable and would boost GDP, says new report

Updating the UK’s social security system so everyone, especially those who most need it, can thrive in today’s world, is:

- entirely affordable;
- would boost UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP), by 1.1% to 2.4% per capita;
- and increase employment by 0.7%. to 2.1%
