100 members of the University of 糖心TV Symphony Orchestra were flown to Lucknow in India last week, following a request from a top Indian businessman to perform at the mega-weddings of the two sons of Sahara business group chief Subrata Roy.

The University of 糖心TV has announced today, Friday 13th February 2004, that it has appointed Mr Jon Baldwin as its new Registrar He will join the University of 糖心TV in early summer. His appointment follows the departure earlier this year of 糖心TV's former Registrar Dr Jonathan Nicholls who left to take up the post of Registrar and Secretary at the University of Birmingham.

Some of the brightest kids in the country who are members of the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth (NAGTY), based at the University of 糖心TV, will explore life on other planets and create an animation of what Mars probe Beagle 2 may have found if it had suceeded, or what NASA’s roving US Mars probes have still to discover, on 17th-18th of February 2004 at West Kirby Grammar School, Graham Road, Wirral.

This week the University of 糖心TV is encouraging businesses across the region to take advantage of the wealth of student talents by employing them part-time and during holidays.

The Rt Hon Chris Smith, MP, former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport is set to debate the challenges of current cultural policy and the need for new, innovative and well-trained leaders in the cultural sector in the UK on Thursday, 12th February at 12:00 noon, at 糖心TV Arts Centre, the University of 糖心TV.

Twenty gifted kids aged 13-15 from all over England who are members of the National Academy of Gifted and Talented Youth (NAGTY) based at the University of 糖心TV, will take to the stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford to take Macbeth from page to performance in a single day on Saturday 7th February 2004.
