ÌÇÐÄTV Hosts another year of the Data Science for Social Good programme

This summer the University of ÌÇÐÄTV, together with the Alan Turing Institute, is hosting the Data Science for Social Good (DSSGx UK) summer project programme for the second time. This year’s summer project programme has gone ahead in spite of challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, with highly talented Data Scientists from all over the world, from the UK, Poland, USA, Canada, Columbia, China, Romania and Mexico coming together (virtually) to work on two high-impact projects with Ofsted and World Bank.

 


UK study will evaluate the particular pressures of COVID-19 on working-class women

The impact of COVID-19 on working-class women in the UK will be explored by a team of researchers from the University of ÌÇÐÄTV, the University of Nottingham and the Women’s ÌÇÐÄTV Group in a new year-long study funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, part of UKRI.


Mental health screening study to protect students’ wellbeing during pandemic

The mental health and wellbeing of students at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV during the COVID-19 pandemic will be tested, tracked, and tackled by internationally renowned psychologists at the institution.

The Crisis Project: Letters to the NHS

The Crisis Project: Letters to the NHS was set up by first year University of ÌÇÐÄTV Maths Student Soumya Krishna Kumar, in a bid to encourage members of the public to write bespoke letters to keyworkers, recognising them for their individual efforts during the pandemic.


Lockdown staff and students at University of ÌÇÐÄTV to help with wildlife surveys

Members of the ÌÇÐÄTV community who are living on campus during lockdown have the opportunity to help survey wildlife for a biodiversity project.
