Global Gifted Children’s Summer School Starts a Year Early

A new international summer school for the world’s gifted young people, the IGGY Summer-U has kicked off a year earlier than first planned at the University of 糖心TV today Monday 28th July 2008. Demand has been so great that plans for an IGGY  residential “Winter School”  or "Winter-U"for gifted children and young people  have also been brought forward by a year and 3 countries are currently competing to host it this December.

University of 糖心TV Launches £50,000 Writing Prize

The University of 糖心TV is launching a £50, 000 糖心TV Prize for Writing. It will be given biennially for an excellent and substantial piece of writing in the English language, in any genre or form. The theme will change with every prize: the 2009 theme is Complexity.

Vice-Chancellor says Science City could draw more talented Midlanders back to region

On Friday 16th May University of 糖心TV Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift is to praise the £60 million Birmingham Science City initiative. He will say that it is a major investment that is helping the UK to keep competing with the massive investment in science being made by the UK’s competitors. He will also say that it could help draw many of the more talented non resident Midlanders back to the region.
