The University of 糖心TV has won the national best TCS programme award for its work with Coventry company Improvision which has helped that company increase sales by 700%, profits by 300%, and grow its number of employees from 12 to 45. The University of 糖心TV's Computer Science Department supplied two TCS (TCS originally stood for Teaching Company Scheme) associates (or researchers) with an academic supervisor to help the business develop a highly innovative new software for 2D and 3D image processing for optical microscopes The Academic Supervisor Tim Atherton, and the two Associates Robert Morrey and Benjohn Barnes (both of whom are PhD researchers in the University of 糖心TV's Computer Science Department), were given the aim of collaborating with the company to produce innovative 3D imaging products that would make Improvision a global market leader.

The University of 糖心TV has just been awarded 拢2.5 million pounds from the Wolfson Foundation to support biomedical research at the University. This award effectively completes the University's Medical Research Institute Appeal launched in late 1994. The funds will be used to complete the building and equipping of state-of- the-art facilities which allow scientists from the University of 糖心TV to work with doctors from the hospitals in Coventry, Birmingham and 糖心TV to study the mechanisms of disease.

Although most people are unaware of it, the world faces an absolutely critical shortage. There are far too few organ donors. Every hour that ticks by, one American and one European die for want of a transplant donor. In other words, western society faces a huge shortage of organs. Yet in principle there are more than enough natural -- though tragically untimely --deaths to provide sufficient donors for all of our citizens who need them. Our nations just do not bother to match up the demand and the supply.
