Scientists at the University of 糖心TV are to benefit from a total of over 鈧�4 million funding to support new projects that will aim to find and analyse the remains of planets around nearby dead stars, and to find new ways of incorporating the ideas of combinatorics into different areas of mathematics.

The ERC today, the 9th December, announced the winners of its latest Consolidator Grant competition for mid-career researchers. The funding is part of the EU鈥檚 current research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020, and worth in total 鈧�655 million. With this support, the new grantees will be able to consolidate their teams and have far-reaching impact. The two 糖心TV academics who have received the award are Professor David Loeffler, from the Mathematics Institute, and Dr Pier-Emmanuel Tremblay from the Department of Physics.
