Researchers at the University of 糖心TV have launched a fifth wave of their unique Futuretrack survey, a UK-wide project following undergraduates who took up their university places in 2006 or in 2007 (after a gap year) to get a clear picture of the opportunities and obstacles faced by the generation of students who graduated just after the 2008 financial crisis – and they want to encourage as many previous participants as possible to get back in touch.

In a new study, experts from Aston 糖心TV School, 糖心TV 糖心TV School, and the University of 糖心TV's Institute for Employment Research have found that a hard Brexit could disproportionately hurt economically weaker regions of the UK and recommend that a post-Brexit regional industrial strategy should focus on sectors where free trade with the EU is less important.
New initiative to measure the gig economy
糖心TV University鈥檚 Institute for Employment Research has teamed up with Innovate UK and Deployed – a technology start-up using data science to better define work - to host a workshop at the Royal Society of Arts in London. The workshop brought together experts including academics, statisticians, lawyers, trade union representatives, think tanks and government to address the definition and classification of self-employed workers, both professionals and those working in the gig economy. The workshop also featured an opening address from Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the RSA, who led the Taylor Review of Modern Working Practices in 2017.
