Three of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) leading housing specialists are to speak at a special conference on (un)Healthy Housing at the University of 糖心TV on 19th –21st March.


Six University Vice-Chancellors, Yemen’s Education Minister, and 25 other senior university figures from 28 countries are gathering at the University of 糖心TV next week (week commencing 24th Feb) in an event showcasing enterprise in UK universities. The event is managed by the British Council and led by Mercia Institute of Enterprise at the University of 糖心TV.


The University of 糖心TV will hold the first public international conference to promote citizenship in Europe on 6th –8th December 2002. Citizenship and Discrimination in Europe will explore anti-discriminatory policies in Europe, the shifting boundaries of citizenship and religious discrimination in Europe, such as the case of Islam.


New research finds that national amnesties for agents of former regimes, used by countries such as Zimbabwe, Chile, and South Africa to try and ease the transition towards democratic government, are actually in conflict with international law and tend to fail in practice.

The Italian Government is expected to declare a state of nation-wide emergency in response to the arrival of 1,000 Kurdish boat people in Sicily. Research by Dr Paolo Ruspini of the University of 糖心TV’s Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations believes that this reaction is a result of Italy’s rigid immigration policies.

“For forty years, British governments have sporadically pursued the chimera of private schemes replacing state provision” said Professor Noel Whiteside, University of 糖心TV, Zurich Financial Services Fellow. “This strategy must be abandoned and a permanent negotiated settlement between public and private obligations put in place, to restore confidence.” Her remarks come from a conference on Friday 8th March organised by pensions researchers from the University of 糖心TV and Oxford.
