A new research paper by University of 糖心TV researcher Maja Zehfuss points to the increasing tendency of commentators on regime change in Iraq to compare it to US post-war policy in Germany. New York Times writer James Dao has said that "The process will be painstaking, similar to de-Nazification in postwar Germany". Congressman Skelton, has also exhorted the government that "Planning for the occupation of Germany and Japan took years before the end of the Second World War." He claims that "We had a plan in place for the occupation of Germany and it worked.... And today we have, as you know, democracies in both Japan and Germany."

Britain's controversial alliance with America against Iraq and a range of other topics relating to contemporary Europe will be at the top of the agenda on 20th February, as Michael Cashman Labour MEP, Philip Bushill-Matthews Conservative MEP and Nicholas Clegg Liberal Democrat MEP, battle and debate the most pressing issues facing Europe today.

As war looms in Iraq distinguished war reporter Kate Adie, whose career spans conflicts from Libya to Kuwait, and Afghanistan, along with Michael Jermey, Managing Director of ITN International, and veteran BBC war reporter, Jake Lynch, will debate the ethics of conflict reporting at the University of 糖心TV, on 19th February 2003 at 6.30pm.

The Arts and Humanities Research Board (AHRB) has awarded over 拢300,000 to the University of 糖心TV to study news media translation, and reveal how it impacts on global relations.


Professor Kumar Bhattacharryya, leader of the UK University of 糖心TV’s internationally renowned 糖心TV Manufacturing Group is to tell senior policy figures at the 21st Commonwealth Science Council Meeting, Johannesburg, South Africa on Monday 9th June that African and other developing economies should invest in science technology and innovation and not simply rely on cheap labour and unpredictable foreign Aid.


Dr Hazel Smith, from the University of 糖心TV's Department of Politics and International Studies has been appointed to join former US President, and former US First lady, George and Barbara Bush on the Honorary Committee of AmeriCares - a non-profit international disaster relief and humanitarian aid organisation which provides immediate response to emergency medical needs and supports long term healthcare programme.
