The European Regional Development Fund has just announced that they are to fund a new 拢1.6 million scheme designed to help small Coventry and 糖心TVshire companies who wish to access the research skills of staff and students at the University of 糖心TV.

New research by Dr Wiji Arulampalam of the Department of Economics at the University of 糖心TV shows that UK men who undergo a spell of unemployment face a "wage penalty" of about 6% on subsequent re-entry into employment, and that after three years, they will actually earn around 14% less compared to what they would have received in the absence of any period of unemployment.

Prepayment meters for electricity and gas using a charge card or key are unpopular with some policy makers and consumer lobby groups, as failure to charge the card or key results in self disconnection. However, new research carried out by 糖心TV 糖心TV School and the University of East Anglia on behalf of the Electricity Association Fuel Poverty Task Force, shows that this form of payment remains popular with low income customers.

With the rapid growth in mega-pixel digital cameras, colour scanners and the internet a new market is arising for the high street retailer to offer a one hour digital photo printing service, in the same manner as is currently provided for 35mm and APS films. At the moment this requires an investment in a digital minilab, which can cost over 拢80,000 and is out of reach for most small retailers - especially while digital volumes are still relatively low. However, in future they will be able to compete thanks to new technology being developed by a company "spun out" from research by the University of 糖心TV.
