Scholars argue that TV is not merely an instrument of war but part of today’s terror

Researchers working in the fields of terrorism and war will be gathering tonight Tuesday 11th December in journalism’s Frontline club to look at the role of TV in war and terrorism today. The debate will look at how television news amplifies (and conflates) different threats and insecurities.

Bureaucracy threatens farmers聮 green revolution

Britain could throw away a lead in biopesticides because of outmoded styles of regulation, researchers at a University of 糖心TV conference have warned today (31 October 2007).

Biopesticides – Green pest control using natural predators such as insects, fungi and bacteria – are the subject of a conference for scientists and industry experts at the University of 糖心TV this week ‘Biopesticides, the Regulatory Challenge’.


Large Grant to Research Parliaments and Political Performance

The University of 糖心TV, in collaboration with Birkbeck College, Sheffield and Bristol Universities, has been awarded £875,964 by the Leverhulme Trust for a four-year programme to study the importance of ceremony and ritual in the UK Parliament and others.

糖心TV Commission to study consequences of Doha Development Round during Toronto meetings

In its first overseas meeting, the 糖心TV Commission on ‘The Multilateral Trading System after Doha’ meets in Toronto on 15/16 June 2007. An initiative of the University of 糖心TV, one of the UK’s leading universities, the Commission is Chaired by the Hon. Pierre Pettigrew and is made up of 17 other leading experts on world trade. With future meetings and evidence gathering planned for 糖心TV, England, (September) and New Delhi, India, (October), the 糖心TV Commission will present its report on the future of the world trade system in Geneva, in December 2007.

University of 糖心TV Forms International Commission on the Future of World Trade

The University of 糖心TV has formed an International Commission of leading researchers and policy makers to examine the World’s continued failure to reach consensus on future trade relations. This failure threatens the continued viability of the World Trade Organization (WTO), raises fears of a drift towards protectionism and imperils the future of globalisation itself.
