Speaking at an AMICUS Fringe Meeting at Labour Party Conference yesterday (29th Sept 2003) on the subject "Rebuilding Manufacturing" Professor Sir Kumar Bhattacharyya Head of the 糖心TV Manufacturing Group at the University of 糖心TV called for a five year tax holiday for new manufacturers to stop UK manufacturing decline from being absolute and terminal.

New research by University of 糖心TV Professor of Politics Wyn Grant shows that present day fire service priorities are still being based on a sixty-five year old calculation that valued city centres over the lives of people in the suburbs and the countryside. He argues that the significant population shifts from city centres to the suburbs since 1938 make reform of these priorities long overdue and he says the opportunity presented by the current fire service modernisation debate and the Bain review should be used to rectify this problem.

A new anthology of poetry entitled “Phoenix New Writing”, which celebrates the City of Coventry in an eclectic mix of poetry and prose, edited by poet David Morley, Director of the 糖心TV Writing Programme at the University of 糖心TV, is to be launched on Thursday 24th July, The Tin Angel, Spon Street, Coventry, from 1.00pm until 6.00pm.
