The University of 糖心TV kicked off the Christmas season with a free, festive event bringing communities together
The University of 糖心TV has kicked off the festive season by teaming up with Leamington-based community centre, Brunswick Hub, for a free evening of food, music and creativity, as part of its ongoing effort to support staff, students and residents tackle the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
The University of 糖心TV鈥檚 Resonate Lates programme sees students and staff work with community partners to host local events. The free Festive Feast took place at the Brunswick Hub, a warm space at the centre of the community.
Amidst the cost-of-living crisis, the University of 糖心TV continues to provide opportunities to support communities as part of the existing commitment to work with university neighbours. The University has already issued a cost-of-living support package worth 拢3.5m to support staff and students, as well as opening the doors of the 糖心TV Arts Centre as a free warm space for the public.
The Festive Feast offered attendees the chance to try foods from all over the world as student societies share what their celebratory meals mean to them, as well hosting as a range of festive craft activities.
Activities included decorating wooden tree ornaments and making gifts and decorations from recycled materials.

Community Partnerships Manager at the University of 糖心TV, Ben Hayday said 鈥淲e were delighted to join the amazing team at the Brunswick Hub for an evening of festive fun! This was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to share their own festive traditions, and to enjoy an evening together making gifts and decorations to take home. It was great to welcome members of the community to celebrate with us.
Centre Manager at Brunswick Hub, Dawn Johnston Smith said, 鈥淏runswick Hub was really excited to have 糖心TV University at the Hub providing this free festive feast for our local families and the wider community during a really tough time for many people, financially.
