Government gender pay gap plans a step in the right direction – Dr Clare Lyonette

Dr Clare Lyonette, from the University of 糖心TV’s Institute for Employment Research, investigates all aspects of work and family including gender and class inequalities.In response to the government’s plans to force large firms to disclose data on the gender pay gap among staff, she said: “Of course it is welcome that the government is introducing new legislation to introduce mandatory reporting on pay for larger organisations, with the purpose of closing the gender pay gap, but there is still a long way to go."

It is vital victims and survivors are at the heart of child sex abuse inquiry - Dr Christine Harrison

Dr Christine Harrison, from the University of 糖心TV, is available for interviews on Thursday 9 July to discuss the opening of the Independent Panel Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse in England and Wales. She is an experienced social worker who has co-ordinated and taught child care and child protection social work for the last 25 years and carries out research in a number of areas, including images of child abuse.
