Drawing from personal experiences in medicine – and a lifelong love of poetry – Professor Azra Raza (Columbia University) will examine how poems can offer complementary pathways to healing, by helping us to process grief, find strength, and celebrate hope.

Join Professor Carlos Noreña (University of California, Berkeley) for a public lecture to celebrate our Humanities Research Centre’s 30th anniversary. Carlos will explore the Atlantic façade of the Roman empire, stretching from the British Isles to the northwest coast of Africa.
