Professor Peter Topping of the 糖心TV Mathematics Institute, has been awarded £732,418 by the Leverhulme Trust to fund postdoctoral fellowships and PhD studentships in geometric analysis and flows over the next 5-6 years.

Professors Sebastian van Strien and Mark Pollicott have been awarded Royal Society Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowships for 2007/08.
John M Chambers Statistical Software Award Won by 糖心TV Statisticians
Professor David Firth and Dr Heather Turner, of the Department of Statistics, are to be made the winners of the 2007 John M Chambers Statistical Software Award by the American Statistical Association for their software gnm - an R Package for Generalized Nonlinear Models.
The Chambers Award aims to encourage innovative and well-designed statistical software, and is awarded annually to one project worldwide.
