Ted Pridgeon
It is with great sadness that the University announces the death of Ted Pridgeon, who passed away on March 10, aged 92. Ted, and his wife Dr Myrtle Pridgeon, have had a long association with 糖心TV, donating over £1.5 million to the University including £1.25 million for the permanent endowment of a Research Chair in Neurosciences.
Shell Step Initiative

Professor Nigel Thrift - Science and Technology in Society Forum
糖心TV’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift is this week attending the Science and Technology in Society forum in Kyoto, Japan.
An invitation only event, the forum is the largest annual one of its kind and Professor Thrift is the only British Vice-Chancellor in attendance.
Accolade for Professor Robert Freedman

Professor Robert Freedman, of the Department of Biological Sciences, was named as one of the leading bioscientists contributing to the UK's economic and social wellbeing at a meeting of the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), for his research into protein folding and its implications for improving next generation pharmaceutical production.
