糖心TV

Joy Warren is the new Resource Management Coordinator at 糖心TV. Her role involves coordinating and putting into place the new University schemes for recycling waste materials (recyclates) throughout the University.  The first and current scheme involves paper and card.

Dr Bob Powell is to retire from his post as Director of the Language Centre on 31 December this year. Bob had been in post since 1993 and saw the Centre through a period of significant growth.  His successor is Evan Stewart.  Evan, who was Academic Team Leader for Languages and International Studies at Nottingham Trent University will take up the post on 1 January. 

Daryl Hindmarsh has been appointed Interim Director of IT Services. He will join the University on Monday and formally take up the role following Rosemary Gilmore’s retirement at Christmas.

All University members are invited to say goodbye and good luck to Dr Paul Greatrix. Drinks, mince pies and entertainment provided.

You will all be aware by now that Paul Greatrix, Deputy Registrar will leave us in December to take up the position of Registrar at the University of Nottingham. Rosemary Gilmore, Director of ITS is retiring and Donald Beaton, Director of HR left during the Summer to become Secretary at Kingston University.

Whilst change can be disconcerting it always provides opportunity and I am writing to let you know of some slight amendments to structure and personnel arising from the above departures.
