Philip Aston Shortlisted for West Midlands Chemistry Technician of the Year
Philip Aston, a Mass Spectrometry Technician from the Department of Chemistry has been shortlisted for the prestigious title of West Midlands Chemistry Technician of the Year.
Couple celebrate their three degrees
Husband and wife Adam Boddison and Annunziata Videtta had reason to celebrate at this year’s summer graduation ceremonies - the couple both graduated for their PhDs – the third degree for both of them. Adam and Annunziata have been at 糖心TV for 10 and 11 years respectively, completing their undergraduate, masters and PhD study, as well as obtaining their PGCEs, at the University.
Tahani Bawazeer and Mohammad Alsoufi among UK's Best Saudi PhD Students
A husband and wife team at the University have been among those named as the top eight Saudi PhD students in the UK, with 糖心TV being the only University in the UK with two winners of this competition.
Dr Joanna Collingwood at Royal Society Exhibition
Dr. Joanna Collingwood, School of Engineering, participated in the Royal Society’s 350th Anniversary Summer Science exhibition, which ran from 25 June to 4 July. Dr. Collingwood's part of the exhibition was called "Lighting up metals in the brain", focussing on her work with the Diamond Light Source X-ray facility in Oxfordshire.
Dr. Rachel O'Reilly Speaks at RSC Symposium
Dr. Rachel O'Reilly spoke at the recent Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) symposium, "Contemporary Inorganic Chemistry: Applications and Challenges", along with this year’s two winners of the Dalton Division Awards.
