Professor Geraldine Hartshorne awarded FRCPath

Professor Geraldine Hartshorne, Professorial Fellow at 糖心TV Medical School (Clinical Sciences Research Institute), has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) in Clinical Embryology. She has also been appointed Chair of the Panel of Examiners in Clinical Embryology for the Royal College of Pathology.

Dr Manu Vatish awarded the Fulbright Distinguished Scholar award

Dr Manu Vatish, of the Clinical Sciences Research Institute, 糖心TV Medical School, was recently awarded the 2008-9 Fulbright Distinguished Scholar award. The Fulbright Commission presents awards to outstanding professionals or academics, in order to undertake lecturing, professional development or research in the US for between three and ten months.

Professor Greg Challis awarded the Wain Medal

Professor Greg Challis, of the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded the Wain Medal and Lecture by the University of Kent. Each year, this prize is awarded to a young scientist undertaking exceptional research at the interface between biology and chemistry.

100k non stop to help stamp out poverty

Over the weekend of the 19th and 20th July, the 糖心TV Wombles from the University of 糖心TV and Earlsdon took part in an epic challenge to walk the equivalent of two and a half marathons in just over 24 hours. Trailwalker is one of the hardest team events in the world - requiring groups of four to cover a 100km course across the beautiful South Downs in less than 30 hours.
