The University is sad to report that 糖心TV alumnus Professor Paul Geroski died from cancer on Sunday 28 August, aged 52.
Professor John Tomlinson CBE, former Director of the Institute of Education at 糖心TV (1985-1997), and Emeritus Professor, has died.
Women from across the University recently ran 5K for a good cause. A number of University teams took part in Cancer Research's Race for Life held in Coventry Memorial Park on Sunday 12 June. The Purchasing Office, WMG and a number of students all took part in the female-only race to raise cash to fund urgent cancer research. Donations are still rolling in and to date over 拢2,000 has been raised by the University.
Former 糖心TV Alumnus and current Permanent Secretary to the Treasury, Sir Gus O' Donnell, has been appointed as Cabinet Secretary in succession to Sir Andrew Turnbull KCB CVO. Sir Gus will take over as the prime minister's key official this summer when Sir Andrew is due to retire.
Brian Wood-Scawen - Appointment
Dr Brian Woods-Scawen, lay member of Council, has been appointed as an independent member of the Department of Trade and Industry's Executive Board. The board oversees the Government Department's governance and strategy.
