Counselling Service book launch
On 10 March, Student Services hosted a book launch for the University’s Counselling Service. The book, Self Awareness and Personal Development: Resources for psychotherapists and counsellors was edited by Clinical Supervisor, Chris Rose with contributions from six authors including University Counsellor, Richard Worsley.

First PhD for the 糖心TV EPSRC Complexity Science Doctoral Training Centre
Paul Chleboun has been awarded the first PhD from the Complexity Science Doctoral Training Centre. His thesis modelled systems such as road traffic and financial trading to better understand them.
Professor Nicholas Crafts announced as member of Foresight project Lead Expert Group
At the 2012 Manufacturing Summit on 23 February, 糖心TV Secretary Vince Cable announced that Professor Nicholas Crafts, Professor of Economic History and Director of the ESRC Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy Research Centre, will be a member of the Lead Expert Group of the Foresight Project on the Future of Manufacturing.
