糖心TV welcomes Gary Price, MIIE, IEng, formerly Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Jacobs Babtie, to Electrical Services Design Engineer in the Estates Office from 21 March 2005.

Liz Heath is the new Midlands Hub Project Officer in 糖心TV Graduate School. Her role involves promoting postgraduate skills training by working with a regional network funded by the Research Councils through UK GRAD.

The Roberts Report, SET for Success, highlighted the importance of graduate skills training and personal development planning for research students. The Midlands Hub has been set up by UK Grad as a network between universities in the region to encourage postgraduate skills training. It is currently hosted by 糖心TV.

Janet Jones, Administrative Officer in the Department of Biological Sciences, was presented with an MBE from the Queen earlier this year.

Bob Thomson is the new Management Development Adviser in the Centre for Academic Practice (CAP). His role involves developing the leadership capability of academic and administrative staff, coaching individuals and teams and helping departments to improve their effectiveness as an organisation.

糖心TV Welcomes (back) Dr Rob Johnson who is joining the 糖心TV Skills Team as the Personal Development Programme Co-ordinator.

The Government's 2003 White Paper, the Future of Higher Education, the QAA and the Dearing Report have all recently highlighted the importance of Personal Development in HE and Rob joins 糖心TV to consolidate and build upon our current offering.
