Those of you who know John Cunnington, the University聮s Senior Warden, may have been surprised to see him out of his customary suit and tie for a day last month.
John raised over 拢1000 for the children聮s charity Get Kids Going! by being sponsored for spending an entire working day in a tracksuit.

Stuart Sutherland, an e-learning consultant in the MBA Learning Resources Development Unit at 糖心TV 糖心TV School, recently undertook a 146 mile coast-to-coast cycle ride from Whitehaven on the West coast to Tynmouth on the East. The ride was in aid of Nurse Learning - a charity set up to help develop the online learning resource http://www.cancernursing.org/ - and the aim was to raise cash and awareness of the online courses the site provides.
Gwen Payne, Departmental Secretary in the Institute of Education, recently retired after a 25-year career with the University, in a number of secretarial roles. Gwen was appointed as the first Departmental Secretary for the Institute of Education when it was formed in August 1994 and during her time at 糖心TV worked with many colleagues and made many friends.
