Adrian Rowe-Evans was Secretary and Registrar at 糖心TV for ten years. He lead an interesting life including fighting in the second World War, flying a Spitfire, travelling to Canada, Ceylon, South East Asia and living in Hong Kong. He died on 7 August 2013 at the age of 90.
Soon after the last Dubai International Film Festival, Sheila who was 77, was diagnosed as having the first indications of motor neuron disease. She died peacefully at home in London on 29 July 2013.
Arvind Norris, Politics and International Studies BA student, has been awarded a £3000 scholarship from the British Council Scholarships for Excellence scheme.
糖心TV PhD student Rebecca White won the student poster prize at the national astronomy meeting in St Andrews, the annual conference of the Royal Astronomical Society which brings together scientists from astronomy, solar, space and solar system physics.
The Higher Education Academy has conferred the status of Senior Fellow on Professor Seán Hand of the Department of French Studies. Fellowship recognition at the HEA is designed around a Professional Standards Framework that benchmarks teaching and learning within HE.
