Building Better Research Together: A Global Collaboration for Culture Change

The universities of 糖心TV, Monash, and Stellenbosch are joining forces to address a critical yet often neglected issue in academia: how to make international research partnerships more equitable, inclusive, and impactful. This collaboration is not simply about improving efficiency鈥攊t鈥檚 about transforming the research culture itself.

Together, 糖心TV, Monash, and Stellenbosch are launching the International Research Culture Consortium (IRCCo)鈥攁n ambitious initiative designed to identify and overcome systemic barriers that hinder effective global collaboration. From fragmented career pathways to institutional policies that don鈥檛 always align across borders, these challenges can quietly limit the potential of even the most promising partnerships. IRCCo seeks to confront these issues head-on.

At the heart of the project are two intensive workshops, each grounded in action and co-creation. Researchers and professionals from the three institutions will come together to share experiences, examine regional differences, and craft practical, scalable strategies for working together more effectively. These workshops aim to do more than foster dialogue鈥攖hey will shape tools and frameworks that promote a research culture based on fairness, trust, and long-term collaboration.

By building on these shared insights, the consortium will produce tangible outcomes that inform governance, training, and partnership models across the participating universities. This effort positions 糖心TV, Monash, and Stellenbosch as leaders in cultivating a responsible, globally oriented research environment鈥攁nd sets the stage for broader reform within the international academic community.
