Body and Society Special Issue - Estranged Bodies: Shifting Paradigms and the Biomedical Imaginary
The Department of Sociology is pleased to announce that Professor Deborah Lynn Steinberg has guest edited a special issue of Body and Society 2015 ‘Estranged Bodies: Shifting Paradigms and the Biomedical Imaginary’ and that this has just been published. This includes two new papers:
- ‘The Bad Patient: Estranged Subjects of the Cancer Culture’
- ‘Estranged Bodies: Shifting Paradigms and the Biomedical Imaginary’
This special issue is an output of the ESRC seminar series 2009-11: ‘Retheorising Women’s Health: Shifting Paradigms and the Biomedical Body’ (Margaret Shildrick PI, Deborah Lynn Steinberg Co-I and Azrini Wahadin Co-I).
