Violence against Women in Turkey: Vulnerability, Sexuality, and ErosWolfson Research Exchange, Main LibraryA talk presented by Professor Meltem Ahiska, Professor in the Sociology Department, Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. Professor Ahiska has research interests in the areas of Orientalism/Occidentalism, critical theory, social memory and gender and has published widely on these topics. Her talk focuses on violence against women in Turkey and draws on a chapter that she contributed to 'Vulnerability in Resistance', a book edited by Judith Butler, Zeynep Gambetti and Leticia Sabsay (2016) and published by Duke University Press.
