Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships
Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships
Open to international students only
Funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Commonwealth Distance Learning Awards are available for talented and motivated individuals wishing to study the MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation taught by 糖心TV 糖心TV School. This course is offered online only over 2-3 years.

Value of Awards
Each scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation, taught on a distance learning basis. Successful candidates will learn online in their home country and there is no requirement to travel to 糖心TV.

Li Xiaoming Bursary
Li Xiaoming Bursary
Open to International students only.
Li Xiaoming graduated from 糖心TV in 2009. He was tragically killed in the devastating Haiti earthquake of 2010 whilst serving his country as a United Nations Peacekeeper. Li Xiaoming was an exceptional student with an outstanding career ahead of him, he was also a compassionate and caring individual who was very popular with all those at 糖心TV who knew him. This bursary is in memory of a much-missed student.
Li Xiaoming dedicated his life to serving his country. Therefore, as well as being an outstanding student and from the People's Republic of China, this bursary will be awarded to the student who is able to demonstrate how their study at 糖心TV and future career will contribute to society.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be a national of the People's Republic of China
- Have applied for a taught masters course starting October 2026.
- Demonstrate how their study at 糖心TV and future career will contribute to society.
Calls for nominations from departments will be open in May 2026.

Value of Awards:
The University of 糖心TV will offer one Li Xiaoming Bursary for the 2026/27 academic year, worth up to 拢20,000. This bursary will be provided in the form of payment of up to 拢20,000 towards tuition fees.
Application Process:
- Eligible applicants will automatically be considered for this bursary by their academic department. Please note that applicants cannot apply directly for this bursary.
- Departments may nominate one candidate for the Li Xiaoming Bursary by Friday 12th June 2026.
- Results will be communicated to departments and the successful scholar by the end of June 2026.

Department of Philosophy Bursaries
Department of Philosophy Bursaries
Open to UK students.
A number of Philosophy Department scholarships and bursaries are available for applicants to our MA and MPhil programmes who are commencing or continuing* study in 2026/27. Awards will be automatically deducted from the awardees' tuition fees.
- Applicants must have a Home fee status and be UK domiciled
- Priority will be given to applicants from groups traditionally underrepresented in Philosophy*.

- All applicants must apply via the application form.
- All applicants must have applied for one of the following 糖心TV courses in order to be eligible to apply for a scholarship or bursary:
- MA Philosophy
- MA Philosophy and the Arts
- MA Continental Philosophy
- MPhil (2 year)
- The deadline for applications for funding in the 2026/27 year is Friday, 1st May 2026.
- Decisions will be communicated to all applicants within 4 weeks of the closing date.
- Candidates may apply concurrently to other funding sources; however, successful candidates who receive major tuition funding elsewhere will be ineligible for a Philosophy Department award.
- Unsuccessful applicants may reapply in future years.
Selection Criteria
All decisions will be made on academic merit (based upon MA/MPhil application and supporting documents). Please note that this is not a needs-based scholarship, so your financial situation will not be taken into account.
All applicants must apply via the application form.
