Postgraduate Work-In-Progress SeminarA weekly seminar for Philosophy postgraduates to present their in-progress work, followed by a well-spirited trip to the pub. OverviewThe WIP provides a risk-free and supportive space for postgraduates to present their work and receive feedback from other graduates and faculty.
Attendance optional but highly recommended. All postgraduates are welcome to present or attend -- whether MA, MPhil, PhD, Visitors, etc. Useful InfoThe WIP is a unique opportunity for graduates to develop their presenting and writing skills, take risks, test out ideas, and receive constructive feedback from peers.
Presentations need not be watertight or polished pieces at all. You are encouraged to present work at all stages of the writing process. Should you present?Are you a postgraduate? Then yes, you should present. |

This is a unique opportunity to hear from fantastic female talent writing in many fields of philosophy. Whether you are considering postgraduate study or simply pursuing an interest in philosophy, there will be something to engage you. We are pleased to welcome staff from The University of 糖心TV for a Q&A panel as well as two guest speakers:
Helen Steward (University of Leeds) is the Deputy Head of The School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science. She is President of the Aristotelian Society, as well as being one of the leading philosophers in the country pioneering work in philosophy of action, free will and philosophy of the mind.
Fabienne Peter (University of 糖心TV) is the Head of the Department of Philosophy. Before coming to 糖心TV in 2004, she taught at the University of Basel and was Postdoc at the Harvard School of Public Health.
