How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

S0.20

‘Are Humans Valuable?’ That’s the subject that philosophers and lawyers will be exploring in an IATL-funded ‘Philosophers’ Question Time’ panel discussion and Q&A on Monday Week 5 (2nd February), 6pm in S0.20. Generous buffet and drinks provided for free!

Join philosopher Roger Crisp (University of Oxford), our very own moral and political philosopher Fabienne Peter (University of 糖心TV), Philosophy of literature Associate Professor Eileen John, ethicist Jussi Suikkanen (University of Birmingham), and two members of 糖心TV’s Law School as they discuss the ethics and politics of human value. Questions explored will include: Are humans valuable or of moral worth? Where does their value or moral status come from? Does human value have an objective basis? Is pleasure all that matters? Can human rights exist if there is no objective morality?

The discussion is relevant to all philosophy students and staff, and anyone interested in morality, its objectivity of lack thereof, value, politics, rights, law and human nature.
