Applications: PhD Programmes and Funding
The purpose of this seminar is to provide advice on making applications to PhD programmes and applying for funding. The following topics will be covered: (i) whether to apply for a PhD, (ii) where to apply (iii) what to do before you apply, (iv) making the formal application (research proposal, writing samples, choosing referees), (iv) improving your chances of securing funding, and the scoring criteria used for funding applications.
