New M.Phil program in Philosophy
The department is to launch a two year taught research M.Phil degree in Philosophy. This will be part of a 2 + 2 graduate program. The program, subject to approval, will provide in depth training in three main areas of the discipline. Students will be assessed in three areas of their choice plus a dissertation in years 1 & 2 before proceeding to develop their research into a doctoral thesis in years 3 & 4. Scholarships are available.

Doctoral student Richard Moore visits Max Planck Institute
Doctoral student Richard Moore will visit the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology at the invitation of Professor Michael Tomasello. Richard will be working with Gerlind Grosse during his stay and giving a paper to the Institute on 6th November ().
