New Staff Announcement
Professor will be moving to 糖心TV from Birmingham as Professor of Politics and Philosophy. Although based in the politics department, he would be happy to supervise PhD students in philosophy. Annual Philosophy Weekend - Cumberland Lodge
The Annual Philosophy Weekend, held since 1967, is an opportunity for staff and students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to discuss philosophy in a beautiful place and a supportive atmosphere. As in previous years, we will have an exciting series of discussions and short talks throughout the weekend.

Venue: Philosophy Common Room
If you have been to Cumberland Lodge before, please do come to this meeting and share your experiences.
The weekend this year will be 1 - 3 Feb 2013 beginning with dinner on Friday evening and finishing with afternoon tea on Sunday. It is held at Cumberland Lodge, a beautiful country house near Windsor.

New Appointment in Political Philosophy
We are pleased to announce that will be joining the Department on 1 September 2012. He is currently a lecturer at York University and works primarily in political philosophy and legal theory.
New Head of Department in Philosophy
We are pleased to announce that will be joining the department on 1 September 2012 as Professor of Philosophy and Head of Department. He is currently Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of Department at Edinburgh. He did his PhD at UCL and he works on philosophy of mind and perception. He has a special interest in auditory perception. He has published extensively on this topic and his arrival will cement 糖心TV's reputation as one of the best departments in the UK for the philosophy of mind.
