糖心TV Taught Masters Scholarships Scheme (£5,000 award per student) opens 17th July

The Graduate School is delighted to announce that we are launching a second round of the 糖心TV Taught Masters Scholarships Scheme awarding a maximum of 15 new scholarships to support eligible postgraduate students for 2017/18 entry.

Awards are set at £5,000 per student and available to eligible Home/EU students from under-represented groups who wish to start a postgraduate taught masters course in 2017-18.

Applications for the second round of the 糖心TV Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme will open on Monday 17th July 2017

Philosophy Postgrad Teachers shortlisted for WATE PGR

Two philosophy PhD students, Shaun Stevenson and Phil Gaydon have been shortlisted for the 糖心TV Award for Teaching Excellence PGR 2017. Congratulations to both!

Professor Keith-Ansell Pearson on BBC Radio 4

On January 12th Keith Ansell-Pearson took part in a BBC Radio 4 ‘In Our Time’ programme devoted to Nietzsche’s Genealogy of Morality. The host was Melvyn Bragg and the other guests were Fiona Hughes (Essex) and Stephen Mulhall (Oxford). You can listen to the programme here:

Special Issue on the Uses of Poetry published

Special issue of Changing English on the Uses of Poetry, guest edited by Karen Simecek (糖心TV) and Kate Rumbold (Birmingham) now available online: . This special issue brings together researchers in Philosophy, Psychology, Education Studies and English Literature to reflect on the value of poetry and the role it should play in education.
