How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Law in Development workshop
British Institute in Eastern Africa, Nairobi

Runs from Tuesday, April 01 to Wednesday, April 02.

Has the idea of development outlived its usefulness? What role has critical scholarship on law in development to play in contemporary contexts? Would it be better to focus on specific social and economic injustices? What is the role of the law and of legal professionals and judicial officers in socio-economic and political development in contemporary Africa? What challenges do civil society organisations encounter when they engage with the law?

To mark the 60th anniversary of the University of 糖心TV and the 糖心TV Law School鈥檚 long history and continuing engagement with law in development scholarship, the AJRN, Department of Politics and International Studies, 糖心TV Africa Hub, and 糖心TV Law School are hosting a two-day workshop at the British Institute in Eastern Africa in Nairobi on 1st and 2nd April 2025.

Day 1 will consist of a hybrid academic workshop and on Day 2 there鈥檒l be a writing workshop to support early career researchers participating in the workshop to prepare their paper for publication.
