, Associate Professor of International Politics of the Middle East, was recently commissioned to write a policy brief entitled 'Policy Brief: Women, Peace and Security: New Conceptual Challenge and Opportunities' for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to feed into their preparation for a conference at Wilton Park in mid-March focused on the Report of the Secretary General on Women’s Participation in Peacebuilding.

was recently interviewed by the Global Times, an official Chinese newspaper, on 10 March in an article entitled 'Fighting vested interests will provide real challenge for incoming leaders'. Below is an excerpt from the piece:

But while we've seen some moves to act against corruption, we haven't really had any firm statement about what this wider reform agenda might be. My guess is that we have to wait until after the second round of leadership changes at the National People's Congress before we move on from the symbols and signs into actual policy changes.
