PAIS PhD awarded Harvard postdoctoral fellowship
, one of our PAIS GEM PhD students supervised by Professor , has been awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Global Law and Policy at to be taken up from autumn 2015.
This is a great achievement by Maja to win such a prestigious and competitive fellowship. It is also yet another endorsement of the quality of PAIS' PhD programme.

Dr has written a briefing titled 'Egyptian universities on the frontline of protest' for . The briefing exposes the scale of the crackdown on Egyptian university campuses over the past academic year.
Dr Pratt documents an extensive catalogue of abuses by the security forces including shooting protesting students, arbitrary mass arrests and repeated assaults on university campuses with tear gas and birdshot. Yet student protests have continued for months, as activists challenge the military regime.
PAIS PhD student Mara Duer awarded travel grant
, a first year PhD student in PAIS, has been awarded a £600 Travel Grant from the Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS). Her thesis, supervised by Professor and Dr , investigates territorial conflicts in Chile, Peru, and Ecuador.

糖心TV Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme
糖心TV is pleased to announce an innovative scholarship scheme totalling £600,000 for postgraduate taught masters students. The scholarship will contribute to course costs and living expenses. The scholarship scheme is part of a Higher Education Council for England (HEFCE) initiative aimed at removing barriers to postgraduate education.
The scheme is open to applicants who are applying for entry to postgraduate study in 2014/15. You do not have to have undertaken your degree course at the University of 糖心TV to be eligible to apply.
