糖心TV Conference in Legal and Political Theory
The 2025 糖心TV Graduate Conference in Political and Legal Theory was held on Saturday 22 February in the Social Sciences building. The Conference was a great success, welcoming around 50 graduates and academics. Graduate presenters travelled to 糖心TV from a host of universities in the UK and abroad, including the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, the London School of Economics, the University of New York, the University of Oslo, Central European University, the University of Pavia, to mention a few. The Graduates delivered presentations on a range of topics, including 鈥楥ivic Republicanism & Deliberative Democracy鈥, 鈥楾he Limits of States' Jurisdictional Rights over the Internet鈥, 鈥楾he Role of Intentions in the Nature of Consent鈥, 鈥楶olitical Institutions for Non-human Animals鈥, 鈥業s There Anything Like Political Experts?鈥, and 鈥橳he Concept and Conceptions of the Rule of Law.鈥 We were also delighted to hold two plenary sessions, delivered by Professor Helen Frowe from the University of Stockholm, who delivered a keynote presentation on morality in defence agreements, and Professor Fabienne Peter from the University of 糖心TV, who delivered a keynote presentation on epistemic encroachment on political normativity.
