How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

“Participatory visual methods in social science: A workshop using Lego Serious Play”

Workshop led by Lauren Leigh Hinthorne (University of Queensland)

An exciting research methods workshop on “Participatory visual methods in social science: A workshop using Lego Serious Play”. The workshop will be held by Dr Lauren Leigh Hinthorne from the University of Queensland.

Further Details:

Might traditional research methods be missing the bigger picture? Could visual techniques help to elicit different, more nuanced information than standard survey and interview tools? What can Lego bricks contribute to local problem solving? This workshop will critically explore questions of power and engagement as they pertain to research method, paying particular attention to the potential of innovative, visual techniques. Following a brief presentation, participants will take part in a facilitated Lego Serious Play experience.

Dr. Lauren Leigh Hinthorne is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Communication and Social Change, The University of Queensland. Her current research examines the theory, practice and analysis of visual research (i.e. research that makes use of and/or produces visual material as an integral part of the research process). Much of her work is located in a public policy or international development context, and negotiates complex notions of power, identity, perception and expertise.
