Ilan Pappe is an internationally renowned author and scholar of the modern history of Israel-Palestine and has written dozens of books and articles. He was one of the 'new Israeli historians' who used newly declassified official Israeli archives to debunk Israel's founding myths, most famously in his book, 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine'. He has also been an outspoken critic of Israel and advocate for Palestinian human rights.
