Agastya Wardhana on Prabowo at the Helm: A First-Year Assessment of Indonesia's Foreign Policy

The first year of President Prabowo's term is marked by several high-profile international engagements, highlighting Indonesia's increasingly active diplomatic stance on the global stage. Domestically, Prabowo positions himself as the chief decision-maker in foreign policy. This talk will identify and outline key initiatives and international engagements undertaken over the past year. I will then proceed to discuss the takeaways, identify emerging patterns and tendencies, and compare them with his predecessor. I will conclude with reflections on what Prabowo's first year means for the future of Indonesian foreign policy.
