Workshop Programme

The workshop comprised plenary and panel discussions, roundtables, and informal networking sessions, enabling participants to build research, policy, and advocacy links for future collaboration. Participants had the opportunity to showcase work on just energy transitions in their institutions and countries, presenting case studies from research, policy, and advocacy, as well as examples of the practical operationalisation of just energy transition policies, programmes, and projects.

This session will focus on the emerging and multifaceted landscape of energy transition processes and finance in developing countries, drawing on experiences with donor-funded projects, such as the just energy transition partnerships (JETPs) and other country platforms.

From Research to Policy and Advocacy

This will be an open session to distill the proceedings of the past two days and to develop a programme for joint collaborations and what to do next. This session will also explore the opportunities created by the recently agreed just transition work package, including the proposed establishment of a just transition mechanism (JTM) at the UNFCCC.
