Professors and have been recognised in this year’s , a University award scheme which celebrates excellence in teaching and the support of learning throughout students’ careers at University.
Nominations are made by students and staff for academics who have had exceptional impact on the student learning experience and enhcance the profile of teaching excellence at ÌÇÐÄTV.
Prof Stevens, one of the five winners, says:
I adopt a holistic approach to teaching and learning to help ensure that every student achieves his or her potential. This involves teaching with passion and enthusiasm, always seeking to innovate, using resources imaginatively and being an empathetic and supportive tutor.
Prof Kaisary, who was highly commended, says:
Teaching interdisciplinary and cross-departmental modules, I have sought to enhance the student learning experience through an imaginative use of resources and materials. However, using a diverse range of teaching and learning materials is far from an end in itself. Instead, such a methodology is wedded to my commitment to an engaged and progressive pedagogy that aspires to recognise the seminar room and lecture theatre as places of possibility.
All the winners will collect their awards during the July degree congregations.
