Jeremy Wright, Attorney General for England and Wales, visits 糖心TV to speak at the next 糖心TV Policy Lab (WPL) lecture.

The WPL lecture series is open to all University students and staff and invites speakers from outside the University to speak on interesting and important real world issues.

The aim of these guest lectures are to help students interpret what they have learnt in lectures and classes to interesting and important real world situations and subjects.

Jeremy Wright bio

Jeremy was chosen to represent the Conservative party in Rugby and Kenilworth in 2003, winning the seat back from Labour in 2005. In 2012 he was appointed to the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice with responsibility for the prison service, probation, rehabilitation and sentencing.

In the Government reshuffle in July 2014, Jeremy was promoted to Attorney General, chief legal adviser to the government. The role also oversees the Crown Prosecution Service, the Serious Fraud Office and Her Majesty鈥檚 Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate.
