📢 Upcoming seminar: AQR Seminar Series | Diary Methods in Qualitative Research. 28.10.26 5-630pm online
The AQR Seminar Series is an initiative of the Collaborative Solutions for Social Problems Lab at Kent ÌÇÐÄTV School, University of Kent, founded by Dr M. May Seitanidi. The Lab develops solutions to social and environmental problems, such as social inclusion, biodiversity and suicide prevention, in industries including construction, banking, food manufacturing and education. Its empirical work relies on qualitative methods, a strength our community cultivates and one that matters for the next generation of collaborative solutions scholars.
The series brings together early-, mid- and senior-career researchers across disciplines and institutions to discuss social science research and to deepen understanding of qualitative methodologies in theory and practice.
Kicking off the first session on the 28th October, DEAR Centre Director Professor Emily F. Henderson, and DEAR alumnus Dr Ahmad Akkad along with Dr Rachel Spence from the University of LIverpool will share methodological insights from their diary studies titled "Using diary method to access the voices of ‘busy’ academics: Methodological insights from three diary studies". Drawing on their research, including work published in the leading journals Qualitative Research and Sociology, the speakers will discuss the choices and practical experiences involved in designing and using diary methods. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore their work, join the discussion and gain methodological insights directly from the authors.
