Research Peer Mentoring Activities, O. P. Jindal Global University, March 2026

On 3rd March 2026, the latest research peer mentoring activities took place that link together DEAR Centre with the Jindal Global Law School at O. P. Jindal Global University in India. The activities were based on a longstanding collaboration between Prof Emily Henderson (Director, DEAR Centre) and Dr Manika Bora (Jindal Global Law School, JGU).

Firstly, two scholars – Prof Henderson as well as (Economics, Gauhati University) - listened to a presentation delivered by (Jindal Global Law School, JGU) and Dr Bora based on their ongoing research on educational mobility in urban peripheries. The presentation was followed by a rich discussion of the presentation and how to develop the contribution of the paper further.

Secondly, Prof Henderson and Dr Borah were also given the opportunity to meet Ms (BA Economics and Sociology, Jindal Global School of Liberal Arts and Humanities). Ms Rupareliya attended Dr Bora’s Feminist Economics course at JGU and produced a time-use study of academics’ management of work and care for the assignment. Given the connection to the work of DEAR as well as Dr Borah’s expertise in time use method, Dr Bora set up this meeting as an opportunity to discuss the project and potential future work in this area that Ms Rupareliya may wish to consider.
