The ceremony, which took place at 糖心TV Arts Centre on Friday 25 July 2025, was a joyous finale to many of the students鈥 time at 糖心TV and featured an inspirational talk from WMG alumnus, Jose Gonzalez Andres.
Mr Gonzalez Andres, Vice-President of Barclays UK鈥檚 Cyber Fraud Fusion Centre, graduated from WMG in 2019 with an MSc in Cyber Security Engineering.
He commended WMG鈥檚 School of 鈥25: "I鈥檇 like to congratulate all the 2025 graduates. I鈥檝e been [where you are]: it鈥檚 hard, but it pays off in the end. So, you should be very, very proud of yourselves because you鈥檙e here 鈥 and you passed!"
Jose went on to impart wisdom on navigating the world of work after education: 鈥淟earn as much as you can. There will be lots of brilliant people around you: learn from them and take the time to talk to them. [Most importantly though], do what you like best.鈥
The celebrations concluded with an exclusive graduate event, where the Class of 2025 and their families toasted their achievements in a less formal setting over finger food and glasses of bubbly.
During the event, prizes were presented for standout performance and projects across each degree programme, including the WMG Overseas Prize (Singapore).
This was also an important moment to pause and pay tribute to Yusuf Mumtaz, a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprentice student, who tragically passed away aged 21. In his honour, Yusuf鈥檚 family were invited as guests, and friends from his course shared a touching video of some of the memories they made together.
