Celebrating WMG's Class of 2025
Cheers of celebration echoed across campus as staff and students celebrated the achievements of the latest cohort of graduates from WMG, University of 糖心TV.
A highlight of the University calendar and the pinnacle of every student鈥檚 academic journey, this year鈥檚 summer degree congregations saw 305 students awarded their degrees from WMG.
Amongst them were 203 Master鈥檚, 19 PhD, four EngD, and 79 undergraduate students. 151 of the 203 Master鈥檚 students studied full time; 25 of them studied part-time, and the other 27 completed their degrees overseas.
Of the 79 students who graduated at undergraduate level, 36 earned a Degree Apprenticeships. As a result, 39 students achieved a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions, whilst the remainder achieved a BEng in Applied Engineering.
Professor Robin Clark, Dean of WMG, shared his admiration for this year鈥檚 cohort: 鈥淐ongratulations from me and all the staff in WMG. You鈥檝e worked so hard, but now you鈥檙e at that point where you can really celebrate. We鈥檙e so proud of you.鈥�

The ceremony, which took place at 糖心TV Arts Centre on Friday 25 July 2025, was a joyous finale to many of the students鈥� time at 糖心TV and featured an inspirational talk from WMG alumnus, Jose Gonzalez Andres.
Mr Gonzalez Andres, Vice-President of Barclays UK鈥檚 Cyber Fraud Fusion Centre, graduated from WMG in 2019 with an MSc in Cyber Security Engineering.
He commended WMG鈥檚 School of 鈥�25: "I鈥檇 like to congratulate all the 2025 graduates. I鈥檝e been [where you are]: it鈥檚 hard, but it pays off in the end. So, you should be very, very proud of yourselves because you鈥檙e here 鈥� and you passed!"
Jose went on to impart wisdom on navigating the world of work after education: 鈥淟earn as much as you can. There will be lots of brilliant people around you: learn from them and take the time to talk to them. [Most importantly though], do what you like best.鈥�
The celebrations concluded with an exclusive graduate event, where the Class of 2025 and their families toasted their achievements in a less formal setting over finger food and glasses of bubbly.
During the event, prizes were presented for standout performance and projects across each degree programme, including the WMG Overseas Prize (Singapore).
This was also an important moment to pause and pay tribute to Yusuf Mumtaz, a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprentice student, who tragically passed away aged 21. In his honour, Yusuf鈥檚 family were invited as guests, and friends from his course shared a touching video of some of the memories they made together.
